STATE OF THE SCHOOLS REPORT
The State of the Schools Report is available at the State Department of Education site. This report contains pertinent information, including the AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress), about all districts in the State. The Loup City information can be accessed by clicking here.

CLASS/ACTIVITIES PAGES
Students in Miss Arnold's Computer Applications classes will be learning to create web pages. Those students will be responsible for creating the pages related to school activities and classes. In order to get pages created in a timely manner students will initally use WYSIWYG software to produce pages. However, they will eventually learn HTML coding so they can put fine touches on the pages that are not possible with many of the WYSIWYG applications.

H1N1 Flu Facts

What is H1Ni flu?
It's a type of flu caused by a new virus. It has sometimes been called "swine flu".

Protection and Prevention
Practice good hand Hygiene by washing your hands often with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing. Alcohol-based cleaners are also effective.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your elbow or shoulder; not into your hands.

Stay home if you or your child is sick for at least 24 hours after there is no longer a fever or signs of a fever (without the use of fever-reducing medicine).  Keeping sick students home means that they keep their viruses to themselves rather than sharing them with others.

Get your family vacinated for seasonal flu and 2009 H1N1 flu when vaccines are available.

Symptoms  of the Flu
They may include
  • Fever of 100 or higher
  • Head and Body aches
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Chills
  • Trouble breathing
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea
